AFT A108dm Firmware Change Log =============================== Release V44 ----------- Dec 12 2011 Type: Recommended A108dm Firmware Fixes unreliable front end framer read/write: on newer motherboards. New motherboards and new pci/pcie bridges have exposed a timing issue in front end framer read/write routines. This can cause corrupting in read/write routines causing T1/E1 framer to be misconfigured. Release V43 ----------- Aug 24 2010 Type: Recommended A108dm Firmware Fixes PCIe parity errors on some new Dell/HP/IBM servers causing PCI fatal error messages in the logs. Fixes the need for Windows to reboot after firmware update Release V41 ----------- Feb 01 2010 Type: Recommended A108dm Firmware Fixed PCIe dma timeouts. On some new Dell/HP servers the PCIe timeouts on dma transactions were causing PCI fatal error messages in the logs. This has now been fixed. Release V40 ----------- Dec 23 2009 Type: Recommended A108dm Firmware Added a framery sync sanity check. This check is now used by the latest driver to monitor the health of the T1/E1 stream entering the FPGA. In case of a resync driver will ensure that timeslot sync is maintained. The latest driver 3.4.8/3.5.9 will use this hardware feature if its available. If the firmware does not have this feature, a front end OOF alarm will be used as a timeslot sync trigger. Changes: Firmware bug fix Recomended feature. Release V39 ----------- Oct 07 2009 Type: Recommended A108dm Firmware Bug fix on hw echo canceller. On some machines it was possible for echo canceller to start in a noisy mode. When in this mode all channels would have noise on them. Changes: Firmware bug fix This firmware fixes the hwec startup procedure. Release V38 ----------- Aug 13 2009 Type: Recommended A108dm Firmware New Feature: Added Free Running timer for Zaptel/Dahdi Changes: Firmware bug fix Fixes on potential pci parity errors on some systems. Fixes echo canceller H100 Errors that can occour on some systems. Release V33 ----------- Sep 27 2007 Type: Recommended A108dm Firmware for echo cancel cards Fixes issue with hardware echo canceller chip security. Supports DTMF detection without hardware echo cancellation operation. Changes: Firmware bug fix for echo canceller This bug can shut down the driver. Note: This bug only afected new Maxim AFT cards with HWEC. DTMF detection only applies AFT cards with HWEC. Release V31 ----------- Jul 10 2007 Type: Mandatory A108dm Firmware for echo cancel cards Fixes a serious bug with Echo Canceler operation. This bug caused a radom channel of echo canceler to become corrupted. Changes: Firmware bug fix for echo canceler This bug can cause hard crashes. Note: This bug only afected new Maxim AFT cards with HWEC. Release V28 ------------- Nov 21 2006 Type: Mandatory for PCI Express Cards A serious bug exists in A108dm Firmware for PCI-E cards. On each front end access the next pci transaction can become corrupted, and if the next pci transaction is dma transaction, then an invalid memory can be written to. Changes: Firmware bug fix for PCI-E cards. This bug can cause hard crashes. Note: This bug only affects DATA operation of A108dm PCI Express Card. The TDM Voice operation is not affected. Release V27 ------------- Sep 27 2006 Type: Mandatory Reason this feature is mandatory for A108D is that it greatly reduces the CPU load. With previous drivers/firmware A108D consumed too much cpu. Changes: This firmware release contains new feature: - Global TDM Voice Interrupt: It that combines all spans on a single interrupt. This significantly reduces cpu load. This option is only used in TDM Voice Mode. Symptoms: New Feature. Compatibility: This feature is actually backward compatible to older wanpipe driver releases. Meaning that if you install this firmware with pre beta8-2.3.4 release, the new feature will not be used, and the TDM Driver will work as before.
